A Marvellous Time at Longhouse

Our family group of 9 (6 adults and 3 school age children) had a marvellous time at Longhouse.  It is very spacious, beautifully appointed – excellent kitchen and very comfortable lounge area – as well as multiple comfy seating areas outside… The pool area is terrific.  The entire property is beautifully landscaped … there is total privacy.  We used the “little house” for parents and the young children which was great giving everyone privacy and space.

The views from the house are beyond description!  Sunsets and sunrises breathtaking!

… we absolutely loved Longhouse – even the crazy drive to get there! – and would love to stay in that heavenly spot again

A gorgeously designed house with a Japanese theme with stunning pool and grounds.

The house is beautiful and unique.  The gardens … were quite extensive with lots of outside seating dotted around including a hammock.

The Height of Luxury with Stunning Views

Stunning villa with absolutely beautiful bedrooms and living spaces that command some really spectacular views out across the bay.

It was a truly wonderful stay with everything we needed in the villa … located outside of Chania and surrounded by several towns and villages making eating out and shopping easy.

Overall, an amazing time at an amazing villa and will absolutely be staying again in the future!

High Standards

“My family and I had a fabulous holiday in July at this stunning property. The house is a beautifully designed structure that is light and spacious … It has been beautifully and sympathetically furnished with an emphasis on comfort without compromising the aesthetic. A very attractive pool is fed by a beautiful and unusual water feature. The house and gardens are well looked after and maintained to a high standard. The view from the front of the house is gloriously unspoiled over the whole bay …The house also has an eclectic collection of books and music for the use of guests. This is the perfect setting for a family holiday in a tranquil and unspoilt spot that allows everyone to unwind and ‘get away from it all’ in total luxury.

What an Amazing Villa

Stunning views, great gardens and pool and wonderful rooms.  It made the perfect holiday for us and our son and his family who stayed in the guest annexe.

Great area too with Chania (our favourite town in Crete) and the roman ruins at Aptera nearby plus local tavernas if you can be tempted away from an al-fresco dinner by the pool with great lighting.

Best Summer Holiday

“We spent one week on this property and I can say it was one of our best summer holidays … House is great having all the comfort of a 5 stars place, the swimming pool was very good, great garden and a perfect view of the sea from the living room and terrace. For sure the week we spent there was not enough and we strongly consider going back. Whatever you see in the pictures of the property is two times better, nicer!;) Thank you Caroline for everything”

The House is Stunning

It doesn’t happen very often that a Villa looks better in reality than in pictures. Longhouse is one of these. Our already high expectations were completely overpassed by the elegance of the design, the quality of the furniture, the calm of the surrounding, the stunning views, and the kindness of our hosts. The house is stunning! … Everywhere in the house, you are surrounded by a peaceful atmosphere and you have the impression of a total fusion with the external nature. The seaside terrace, in the afternoon, is touched by a lovely breeze and shadow, and the comfortable sofa where our favorite place to spend time in total relax … We have been there for two weeks with two boys 16 years old and enjoyed every minute of our vacation. They stayed in the guest house …even though the “media room” was one of their hits together with the excellent HI-FI sound system that the house has. We recommend this property without hesitation and look forward to booking our next vacation at Longhouse.
