Specially commissioned for Longhouse villa, Bart van Oijen’s paintings hang resplendent in the living room. Steeped in the atmosphere of the villa and the beautiful surroundings of Crete, Bart was inspired to produce these two one-off bespoke artworks.

The owner’s lifelong passion for motorcycles sees a beautiful antique, a 1949 BSA 500 A7, displayed as a piece of art in a prime position in the villa. The bike is a runner although currently drained of oil and petrol.

Music lovers can enjoy the superb high-quality Hi Fi system by simply tapping into the wireless blue tooth device. The huge studio quality PMC speakers are sufficient to abundantly fill the living room with your favourite sounds. Alternatively, for a touch of nostalgia, there is a large eclectic record collection playable on a Linn Sondek turntable to give you many hours of pleasure.

We spent one week on this property and I can say it was one of our best summer holidays. Everything was thought about in all the details, from guidance we received for getting there, to the way the property was built and structured as such as you can spend a great time with friends and family but still to have as much intimacy as you want.
